Engineering Manager

Summary: Reporting to the Engineering Director, the Engineering Manager will
provide technical leadership in product development and be responsible for
the day to day running of the Components Engineering Group
Basic Responsibilities:
Product development in support of business strategy
Supervision of engineers
Resource planning and management
Approval of proposals
Approval of design work
Documentation
Support to Sales
Support to Production
Approval of concessions etc
Proposals and actual design work across range of products
Customer and suppliers involvement
Support for legacy products
Maintain a design capability that meed the strategic requirements of the
business
Qualifications: Basic Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
--Education: Degree in electrical/mechanical disciplines
--8 -10 years relevant nexperience in the following:
--Ideally the Engineering Manager will have an Aerospace background covering
both Civil and Military applications.
--Knowledge of fans, power electronics, motors & controllers is desirable.
--Knowledge of product design from conception through to design
acceptance is essential.
--A working knowledge of applicable standards is required.
--Commercial awareness and the ability to design to both time and cost
targets will be key to this role.
--A working knowledge of design methods and techniques.
--Travel 15%
