Structural Stress Analyst (Engineer)
Wichita, KS
Position will join the Product Engineering and Technology consists
of jobs which include engineering aspects of product and processes
for concept development, product definition, design analysis, test,
deployment, and post delivery support.
The selected candidate must show the capacity to:
- Apply knowledge of advanced structures analysis (e.g., modeling, sttic,
fatigue, damage tolerance, etc.) and materials to determine structural
adequacy and specific regulatory and qualification compliance.
- Apply knowledge of structural analysis, materials, and related regulatory
and qualification requirements in order to collaborate on structural designs
of products.Researches, develops, analyzes, designs, and tests company
products using engineering and scientific principles.
- Translate engineering and scientific concepts from preliminary ideas
through product life cycle. Analyzes and verifies product design and
performance for adequacy, including reliability.
- Research and develop material and processes that support the translation
from abstract concepts to functional products.
- Apply knowledge of engineering and scientific methods and tools to define
and characterize behavior of products, services, and processes.
- Integrate technical, cost, value, and safety considerations into the
product definition to comply with customer, regulatory, and company
requirements; documents results in drawings, data sets, reports,
specifications, and supporting data.
- Interface with other members of project or program teams, management, and
technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet group,
organization, and company objectives.
Qualifications: Position Minimum Requirements
-Minimum of 7 years experience as a stress analyst is
preferred, along with experience with composite structures analysis.
-Knowledge of Airbus tools and processes for new aircraft
development is preferred.
-Bachelors Degree Engineering (Relevant)
-International travel is required, extended stays may be required.
-Note : Credentials require meeting the classification standards for
engineers (ABET accredited).
