Position joins a technical aviation services company providing ,scientific, technical,
and professional services for defense, federal and commercial aircraft/aviation
customers globally. This company specializes in mission support/counter-proliferation
/counter-terrorism/ base and range operations / various other customized
engineering services. The company operates in 44 US states & 14 countries.
Senior Aircraft Maintenance Manager Job Description:
Manages the interpretation, instructions and maintenance requirements
systems and equipment for both in-flight and on the ground aircraft.
Manages maintenance and repair schedules and assignments with supervisor to
maintain continuous availability of aircraft to meet flight schedules and
other program requirements. Manages personnel in relation to Flight
Operations regarding scheduling of aircraft for flight or inspection cycles.
Manages and reviews maintenance tracking requirements for assigned aircraft;
detects and analyzes aircraft discrepancies. Reviews and approves
manufacturer's directives. Position will be responsible for ensuring maximum
capability for performance of flight requirements, maintenance productivity,
safety and aircraft airworthiness. Maintains frequent contact with
manufacturer's technical representatives, fixed base operators, maintenance organization
and caterers' for aircraft components, repairs and services. Signs off on all
work performed is in accordance with FAA and other applicable government
regulations. Interfaces with FAA representatives on matters relating to regulations and
service directives.
Qualifications: Minimum Required Skills, Knowledge, Education and Experience :
-Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or other related field
-Possess a minimum of 10 years experience in the following areas of Civil Aviation Maintenance, Modification, and Inspection :
--Experience with Boeing 727 aircraft
--Candidate must currently possess Airframe & Powerplant Certification
--Knowledge of Airframe and Powerplant maintenance procedures, techniques and applications
--Knowledgeable of Federal Aviation Administration regulations as well as airframe and aircraft powerplant maintenance procedures, techniques
and applications acquired through formal training and work experience
--Possess effective oral and written communication skills
Additional Requirements:
-Security Clearanceexist or must be eligible to obtain a secret clearance with the ability to maintain that clearance and eligible to obtain special access clearances
-Travel, 20%
