Sr Chemical Scientist /Special Materials Group
Lancaster, NY
Sr Chemical Scientist is part of the Specialty Materials Group be
responsible
for conducting research related to the production and use of elemental
fluorine.
The successful candidate will develop new technologies/products and improve
existing technologies. The candidate will work in the laboratory and be
involved
with scale-up and of support manufacturing plants. Experience in the
electrochemical production of elemental fluorine will be especially
desirable for
consideration in this position.
Qualifications: Minimum Requiremnets
A PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials science; or an M.S.
degree with a proven record of industrial experience
Overall Related Experience 10 or more years includes:
-Experience in the electrochemical production of elemental fluorine
-Fundamental knowledge of inorganic fluorine chemistry and electrochemistry
-Support transfer of newly developed products/manufacturing processes in the
pilot plant and into commercial production
Ability to plan and execute experimentation independently
Export control regulations will apply
Travel about 10% to company sites
