Description: Plant Manager
The Plant Manager will have full profit and loss responsibility and provide
the
leadership, direction, and management for all aspects of plant
manufacturing operations. Execute the business and operations plans to
achieve revenue, profit, and performance targets. Manage staff
Be accountable for the performance of safety, service, planning,
production, quality, inventory management, capital project implementation,
and leadership/organizational effectiveness.
· Work closely with the sales organization on key customers and
opportunities, and contribute to the customer quality and service processes.
· Support and promote the facility's commitment to continuous
improvement processes, and improving inventory turnover rates while ensuring
that the facility's quality and continuous process improvement initiatives
achieve the optimum results and widest acceptance.
· Support the safety and quality expectations of the company and
assist in the commercialization of new products and processes.
· Ensure that both the manufacturing capacity and product development
initiatives are tightly aligned with the current and future needs of the
customer base, and will collaborate with the General Manager to secure the
required capital funding for new technology and capacity.
· Establish goals and budgets for all operating departments and
monitor overall performance against annual plans.
· Work with the management team to ensure that the facility achieves
the highest possible level of return on assets and investment, and
investigate opportunities to achieve synergy with group headquarters.
Qualifications: 10+ years of manufacturing experience in plant operations, process design,
and
engineering with experience in a Chemical/ Extrusion/Polymer Process
manufacturing environment.
Experience in fabrication or plastic extrusion.
Background in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
