Company seeks a Sr. Engineer who will report directly to the VP Operations and is responsible for overseeing the activities of 3 senior engineering managers  (one HS&E Manager and two Regional Engineers)  The Senior Operations Manager could anticipate business travel up to 50% per year but could be no less than 20%.

As an Sr .Operations Engineering Manager you will be directly responsible for standardization of best practices in facility design, equipment specifications, and technology.  The Sr. Operations Engineering Manager will also be responsible for developing and maintaining Quality Management and HSE Management Systems.


Responsibilities

Develop and implement safety design criteria for all Company facilities worldwide.Share and implement best practices to accomplish standardization of
Asset Specifications and Process Technology for Company worldwide. Provide consistent direction to Regional Engineers and HSE Manager to
meet growth, productivity, regulatory compliance objectives. Coach both regional engineers in the disciplines of Process Safety, Data
collection and integration of Lean Enterprise Concepts. Implement and Maintain permit compliance verification for all Company  
facilities worldwide. You will also assist Marketing efforts by providing technical leadership to Commercialization Processes including PHA's and Plant/Terminal Design, provide design direction, business case evaluation, and project management for the automation of labor intensive processes.

 

Experience/Education/Skills

 

Prioritize activities/schdule/travel to maximize benefit of company's resources, be able to  apply engineering and materials fundamentals
have a BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, A minimum of 12 years experience in the Chemical Industry, A minimum of 8 years management experience.
be experienced in  leading a technical/process engineering group of professionals in multiple domestic& International sites up to 50% of the year, posess experience with Lean Manufacturing, SPC, process improvement,  Management of Change.


In addition we are looking for someone with 12 to 16 years of experience in International Experience,,Project Engineering Experience, a background of continuous Continuous Improvement, Health, Safety and Environmental experience, Production Manager Experience, and acccustomed to a highly mobile position in prior posts.
