Senior Applications Manager - R&D Dept
Westerville, OH
The position leads a research and development program of materials
and processes for solid-oxide fuel cell applications. The Senior
Applications Manager will also provide the technical lead for a number
of team-based projects.
Specific job responsibilities will include:
- Develop innovative and enabling SOFC materials, process, and component
technologies.
- Write successful research proposals to private and governmental research
solicitations.
- Establish and direct experimental research plans for multi-year research
programs.
- Contribute to company's intellectual property portfolio.
- Assure transition of technologies from laboratory to commercial products.
- Manage costs and resource utilization while achieving project goals.
- Produce comprehensive reports detailing technical progress and plans.
- Present research results at technical conferences.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
-Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related
discipline
-Minimum of 10 years of technology development experience in solid
oxide fuel cells (or other high-temperature ceramic electrochemical
systems).
The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of :
-State-of-the-art in fuel cell technology
-Worldwide reputation for technical achievement and innovation
-Proven track record for solving problems and achieving technical
success.
- Prior technology commercialization experience is of particular
interest.
-U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
-Self-motivated candidates with strong writing and verbal communication
skills are preferred
