Senior Controls Engineer will be
responsible for the design, configuration, simulation,
commissioning, and startup of advanced control
systems for custom hydrogen and the company facilities.
The position will be required to self-perform these
activities, and also ensure the safety, technical quality,
completeness, and reliability of the design and systems
procured from external sources. The position requires the
ability to conceptualize scope, estimate, and execute
comprehensive technical assignments. The engineer
must be able to develop and implement innovative
solutions to complex problems on custom and unique
projects, and direct others when necessary as part of
that process. This position will offer the individual an
opportunity to improve his/her technical knowledge
through the application of the latest automated
Safety Instrumented System technologies.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications
-BS degree or higher in Chemical or Electrical Engineering
-10-12 years experience with the development, design, and
implementation of process control systems and/or Safety
Instrumented Systems within the chemical or refining industries.
-Substantial practical application experience with Emerson
DeltaV Distributed Control Systems and Allen-Bradley
Controllogix PLC's, or Safety Instrumented System applications.
-Schematic Wiring Diagrams, process control content of P&I
diagrams is, and have the ability to learn new batch
and continuous processes.
-Solid understanding of control system fundamentals, electrical design,
instrumentation components / ability to integrate components
and systems from various suppliers with very strong attention to detail.
-domestic/international travel required
-Posess a long term interest in the field of process control,
system/equipment automation, and control system technology
Desirable:
-Prior experience with Allen-Bradley PLC5's is a plus and a basic
understanding of the application of instrumentation and electrical devices
in hazardous areas is desirable.
