Provide process automation and control engineering support for 
facilities.  Establish targets and drive to completion actions to reduce
usage and energy consumption, improve yields, minimize waste, and increase
occupancy from process automation and control engineering view. Measure
operating variable control ranges for minimum cost operation and identify
opportunities for continued improvement based on plant data.

Ensure consistency and reliability of control on critical variables.  The
individual will supervise system management and hardware maintenance for
process control systems.  Design, install, and upgrade Safety Interlock
Systems and also direct and guide activities as necessary to enable
instrument and electrical craftsmen.  The position requires communicating
and coordinating with Production Staff to achieve capital project goals.
The individual will develop and maintain documentation required for long
term maintenance of control systems and facilitate outside technical
resources in the instrument and control arena.
