Senior Architect (Corrections/Justice Institution)

Description
An experienced architect to work on Corrections/Justice Institution projects
within our Architecture and Engineering Division, with several choice
locations in the State. The selected candidate can work from one of our
Pennsylvania Offices.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead design efforts and oversee production for correctional/justice
facilities; schematic design and architectural programming through
construction documents. Assist in developing the strategy, marketing, and
business development for the corrections/justice market regionally and
nationally. Corrections-related business development, successful project
execution, design quality, delivery, and profitability
Qualifications: Requirements
Job Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters Degree (relevant )12 Years Experience in Architect,
Marketing, Planning , Design / Project Work with 6 of those years in
correctional institutions/ and other justice related facilities
(courthouses, public safety, etc) projects and efforts. Will be a licensed
/ registered professional architect
Expertise with design methodologies and types of correctional facilities
which includes; detention, minimum and maximum security, vertical and
horizontal design, and the 3 Supervision Models in corrections (linear,
Indirect surveillance, and direct supervision)
Extensive experience in architectural planning (schematic and conceptual),
with a concentration in corrections/justice
AutoCAD skills preferred but at a minimum should be up to date for purposes
of review
Excellent written and oral communication skills and superior relationship
management
Strong sales/presentation skills
Desired Skills:
A well-establishes business network in corrections/justice
Knowledge of Revit
Proficiency in Sketch Up or similar 3D modeling software
LEED certification
Memberships/Affiliations with American Correctional Association (ACA),
American Jail Association (AJA), etc.
