Description: Project Manager, Architect (LEED)
Houston, Texas, USA
Provide architectural Consulting and Project Management Services.
This position plays an integral role in the company Real Estate Services business unit that provides facilities management, business services, and real estate management services for international offices and laboratory facilities.
•Provides and coordinates Architectural Consulting Services in connection with Programming, Site/Master Planning, Architecture and Interior Design of commercial buildings at major company office locations as well as residential, and community support buildings at remote camp locations. Provides and coordinates Office Space Planning, Furniture Selection, Interior Design and Moves in connection with company office facilities.
•Provides architectural planning support for consolidation of office facilities based on seat count projections and business plans of operating companies and departments.
•Develops stacking and blocking diagrams, vacancy reports, or space usage reports
•Develops space plans when needed to realign business units and develop strategic plans for space usage based on client organizations growth plans or company reorganization plans.
•Ensures planning is aligned with corporate guidelines, and that all scenarios maximize use of space
•Ensures the appropriate use and application of principles (PM tools).
•Leads cross-function teams through a gated decision process.
•Develops a strong Incident and Injury Free culture and attitude on all projects
•Manages Scope, Cost and Budget
•Maintains strong client relationships and handles conflict resolution
•Responsible for the development and management of phasing plans for complex projects, the management of various vendors, and coordination with building representatives and facilities management representatives on a project-by-project basis.
Qualifications: •Bachelors Degree required in Architecture, Planning or other relevant discipline.
•A minimum of 5 years of architectural and/or project management experience related to commercial office design, master/site planning, and/or programming.
•Experience with some or all of the following: portfolio strategy/optimization, master/site planning, village planning, programming, interior space design (TI projects), and/or construction.
•Understanding and application of financial concepts in a project setting
•Ability to summarize or display large amounts of data in such a way that conclusions and decisions can be reached.
•Demonstrates strong analytical abilities.
•Possess good understanding of other functional business and real estate areas.
•Candidate must be willing and able to fulfill domestic and international travel from 30 to 50% of the time.
•Proven ability to become a trusted advisor to customers & senior management.
•Develops and nurtures great relationships with customers.
•Understands customer’s specialized business needs and utilizes opportunities to provide additional value.
•Integrates work processes to meet customer business objectives.
•Ability to effectively sell themselves and services to customers.
•AIA registration desired, experience with Green building design or LEED Certification a plus.
