Description: Energy Project Manager - Construction Management
CA, Los Angeles
1. Candidate is responsible for multiple project management
responsibilities in the planning, design, and construction specifically in
the areas of Energy (Geothermal, Solar & Wind, etc.).
2. Candidate will be responsible to measure and analyze the efficiencies
of facility operations and maintenance projects such as boiler and chiller
plants, photo-voltaic panels, hydrogen fuel cell technologies, wind towers,
etc.
3. Candidate should be able to perform energy audits, energy savings, and
power factor analyses.
4. Provides technical and procedural assistance, guidance and support to
field project management personnel when requested or necessary.
5. Assists in identification and resolution of constructability and
logistics issues on a district-wide basis.
6. Implements district-wide standards, initiatives and guidelines in the
execution of campus projects.
7. Identify needs of procedure refinements, drafts proposed procedures,
and attains feedback and buy in. Implements procedures with guides and
training to field staff.
8. Works closely with the Energy Team to review and familiarize with the
plans and specifications of energy-related projects on a specific and/or
grander scale.
9. Provide insight to new technologies and how they may relate to higher
educational systems.
10. Assist client with presentations at conferences and to professional
organizations as requested.
Qualifications: · Possession of a Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Engineering,
Architecture or Construction Management is required.
· Minimum of 8 years experience in construction management, either
general contractor or owners representative.
· Experience with building energy consumption and efficiency
principles, including ability to analyze and quantify consumption, and
savings projections.
· LEED Certified or an equivalent certification from a widely known
energy-savings organization.
· Experience in Multiple Project Management.
· Familiarity with contractual delivery models such as design build,
design bid build, g-max cost plus, etc.
· Proficient in management of full construction life-cycle from
programming to design to bidding to construction to closeout.
· Experience with demand and supply side energy initiatives and
current state and federal regulations, laws, rebate programs, as well as
current and proposed
legislation pertaining to energy.
