Director of Business Development - Energy
Asheville, North Carolina
The Director Business Development is a professional with
energy/energy efficiency industry experience to help develop, lead, and
manage the launch and growth of company's expansion within North East Coast
& Carolina Regions. Principal will be a highly motivated, team-oriented and
recognized
professional with excellent energy solutions domain knowledge defined by
successful market place experiences and involvement in shaping public policy
dialogue.
The Director of Business Development works with the Board of Directors and
leadership team to successfully launch the firm's eastern presence,
particularly
within North Carolina. Assist in development, integration, and management
of market-based turnkey solutions, including direct responsibilities for
marketing,
sales, customer-centric solutions, and proposal development, supporting or
coordinating feasibility analyses, project development, construction
management, and maintenance. Actively participate in the development &
management of performance partnerships and agreements with local
contractors and vendors required to execute the company's southeastern
strategic business plan. Initially manage and ultimately support all aspects
of Company's internal business processes within its southeastern market
area,
including but not limited to human resources and accounting. Ensure close
coordination with and aligned actions with Company's Board of
Directors and executive management leadership. Perform individually and
as a team player to achieve increasingly progressive market penetration
and successful solutions execution resulting in speed to profitability and
recognized industry leadership and integrity of the company's southeastern
operations. Assume personal responsibility for maintaining ongoing
industry leadership knowledge, including active participation in
company's training programs. Assist in identifying mergers and
acquisitions targets, including participation in due diligence processes.
Qualifications: Minimum Requirements:
Ideal candidate must be a proven, results-oriented leader recognized as a
highly motivated, customer-centric industry leader defined through past
successes, market reputation, and known ability to effectively team.
Required qualifications:
At least 10 years of relevant experience in energy engineering, energy
management, clean energy or equivalent.
At least 7 years of progressively responsible business management experience
or equivalent, including private for-profit experiences.
At least 7 years successful experience in energy solutions or related field
sales and marketing/ business development.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as proficiency
with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
A minimum of a relevant 4 year college degree from a nationally recognized
university with a masters degree preferred.
Preferred. Construction management experience, Certified Energy Manager
(CEM), Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), facility management experience,
and/or energy project finance experience.
