Description: Los Angeles area.
Energy Efficiency Manager for a wide variety of projects in government, higher education, manufacturing, energy and real estate in both private and public sector. Energy Efficiency Manager will have a minimum of 3+ to 8+ years of proven performance in facility management, in one or more of the following areas; Project management, Project development, Project facilitation. Documented ability to achieve substantial energy savings in facility management. Demonstrated ability to develop an energy baseline.
Energy Efficiency Manager shall have experience in one or more of the following areas: Experience conducting energy audits. Experience with Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, steam and hot water boilers, chillers, and other energy intensive systems and equipment. Experience performing life-cycle cost analyses. Evidence of an ability to prepare and present formal presentations. The ability to train others.
Energy Efficiency Manager has knowledge of utility rate/tariff structures to include ability to evaluate the accuracy of utility billings. The ability to determine if the installation is currently on the most beneficial rate structure/tariff. Energy Efficiency Manager must be able to work independently and proactively in achieving complex technical objectives. Work well with others in problem solving situations. Develop and facilitate solutions by achieving consensus on complex or complicated technical issues.
Qualifications: Either:
Engineering Degree (preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering) 3+ to 8+ years experience in energy management.
Environmental Science, business or related degree with a minimum of 5+ to 10+ years experience in energy management.
A two-year technical degree with a minimum of 8+ to 12+ years experience in energy management.
Good skills with MS Word, Excel, etc
Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or willing/able to obtiain certification within one year of hire
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred (but NOT essential)
Various certifications (like Certified Energy Auditor/CEA) a plus.
Practical hands-on experience in any military energy reporting requirements/initiatives or federal installations is a good plus.
MUST be a United States citizen.
Able to obtain secret security clearance
