Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager for Asia Fuel group.
Research customer needs and competitor information to develop
strategic business plans, objectives and specific implementation plans for
initiation and growth of new business opportunity. Increase customer base
and order entry by integrating product/service capabilities and
developing creative strategies to understand and fulfill customer needs.

Identify resource requirements and detailed plans to enable selection,
deployment and personal development of staff.
Direct major multi-business unit proposal preparations, customer
presentations, and contract negotiations. Communicate customer requirements
to product lines. Direct activities associated with order acceptance, implementation,
invoicing, and closeout.

Provide direction and administration of project/business office
activities. Ensure timely and effective resolution of complex technical,
contractual and financial issues, while concurrently managing multiple
tasks. Make technical and commercial decisions as appropriate.

Develop and maintain critical working relationships with customer
personnel, including senior manager and executive level. Learn the
customers' organizations, objectives and expectations thoroughly, understand
utility and industry economics and business drivers.
Coordinate the efforts of various internal groups in a synergistic and
integrated manner to accomplish complementary business and customer
objectives.
     

Degree in Engineering or technical discipline required.

Experience in nuclear plant engineering, project and resource
management, and direct customer interface typically acquired through ten or
more years of progressively more responsible and varied positions.
Proven business acumen; commercial and contract experience is required.
Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is preferred but not required.
Strong entrepreneurial and business development skills to build client
relationships and a robust portfolio of engineering services business.
Ability to locate in China and accomplish extensive in-country and
some international travel.
