Description: Lead Engineer, AQCS Colorado, Denver Primary responsibility will be to function as a Lead AQCS engineer performing work on Phase 1 conceptual engineering projects, AQCS multi-pollutant studies and general consulting support for major power plant projects and or AQCS retrofit projects. Must have thorough and proficient understanding, including practical application experience of two of the following AQCS processes: ESP's, fabric filter, selective catalytic reduction systems, selective non-catalytic reduction systems, wet flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems or dry FGD systems. As Lead AQCS engineer, responsibility will include planning, developing, coordinating and directing the AQCS process design effort for large coal fired FGD, particulate removal, or NOx reduction retrofit projects. In addition, the Lead AQCS engineer will develop and perform system analysis, calculations, research, and equipment & material selection necessary to develop required design documents. Will be responsible for developing and monitoring AQCS project staffing plans and assignments, defining and distributing process design and work assignments, will develop and monitor project quality, scope, schedule, and budgeted design man-hours, and will establish AQCS design project goals and objectives. Will be responsible for coordinating AQCS project design and administration efforts with other discipline personnel, the Engineering Manager, the Project Manager, the Mechanical Section Head, Clients, Vendors, Contractors, Field Construction & Startup staff, and other staff. Must be capable of developing AQCS conceptual engineering reports and leading formal presentations of the engineering report established.
Qualifications: Qualifications Technical experience in AQCS Degree required (Mechanical or Chemical Engineering) Power Plant design/construction experience PE preferred or willing to obtain
