Description: Senior Cost Engineer UK, Reading Delivering the Cost Engineering capability to the Major Projects. Ensure the delivery of SQESH performance in accordance with the requirements of SQESH policy For implementing best practice Cost Engineering policy, processes and procedures on Major Projects. For accurately identifying, controlling and forecasting the cost to complete (AFC). For co-ordinating the flow of information to ensure that interfaces within projects are effectively managed to optimise efficiencies. For developing, incorporating, monitoring and reporting expenditure against that planned/budgeted including variance reporting. For monitoring and reporting on project performance using earned value analysis. For summarising data though CBS/WBS hierarchy from detail to summary levels. For developing and managing a database to capture and identify/verify estimating norms and trends, earned value and performance indicators. For responding to customer feedback on Cost Engineering performance. To work with and provide support for colleagues in project teams. To work closely with the Planning Engineer, Estimator and Finance to provide a seamless service and no areas of overlap. To develop and promote with others in the Cost Management community: Best practice processes, procedures, tools and techniques and mechanisms for their practical application.
