Description: Business Contracts Analyst /Representative
Chicago, IL
Contract requirements analyst for special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance
with appropriate laws, regulations and policies. Drafts/develops, negotiates and administers
contractual agreements for assigned programs. Analyzes requests for contract proposals from corporate policy, business, financial, contractual and risk perspectives. Contributes to the development of the general contracting strategy.
Assists in the development of contracting strategies in partnership
with internal clients. May assists in the development and negotiation of Teaming Agreements.
Initiates preliminary negotiation with client for agreement terms and pricing.
Coordinates contract proposal issues requiring the expertise of other groups, proposes solutions to
problems encountered in negotiations and assists in solving problems that may arise during project performance.
Reviews contracting data entered into the system for completeness and accuracy including risk questionnaire, associated proposal documentation, and required proposal review. Ensures all required proposal reviews, concurrences and approvals are obtained before a proposal is submitted to a client.
Ensures integrity, completeness, accuracy and consistency of contracting data entered into system.
Reviews the detail of data entered for contracts that is utilized by other support groups and assures
it appropriately and accurately reflects the necessary and relevant information.
Assists in Contract Closeouts, including document closeout, management and
development of reports for department and internal client review.
Recommends and submits contract documents for Contracting Officer signature.
Qualifications: Degree in business or related field. 5+ years relevant experiencel.
Knowledge of corporate policies and procedures. Working knowledge of contracting concepts,
Uniform Commercial Code, applicable international contract law, or public contract
acquisition law and regulations. Ability to draft contractual instruments in accordance
with prescribed templates and guidelines.
