Description: Manager, Capital Projects / Capital Engineering Program
Houston, Texas
Manage the execution of the engineering, design, procurement,
construction and turnover to manufacturing of capital projects within the
facility in accordance with applicable work processes, specifications and
standards in order to achieve facility objectives, while managing the
budgeted resources for that facility.
Lead the development of the capital program budgets for each fiscal
year for their respective sites; understand scope, priority, cost for
projects. Assures capital projects meet project objectives by managing the development, design
and execution of projects in accordance with specifications and standards.
Ensures accurate cost budgeting, estimating, forecasting and reporting of all facility capital projects.
Capital project budget activities within facility, including planning, preparation, development, submittal
and managing the budget resources throughout the fiscal year.
AFE development, routing, cost control, engineering, construction and schedule attainment for all capital projects
within the facility. Managing / reporting on the capital budget progress for each year, including budget, forecast,
and actual spend and identifying and managing trends to deliver against the capital budget as funded.
Ensuring new/ revised Process Safety Information is provided to the appropriate departments.
Analyzing and managing risk on projects; ,as well as, ensuring that safety and constructability reviews
are conducted on all facility projects and that plant procedural requirements are communicated to direct reports
and contractors. Communicates and resolves technical and commercial issues as related to project objectives.
Responsible for KPI goal setting, reporting, and performance.
Qualifications:
Supervisory experience managing a team of project engineers including contractors.
10+ years of experience excuting capital projects and managing a profolio of projects
Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering
