Description: Director of Business & Commercial Agreements (Contracts)
Toronto
-Managing the development and negotiation of commercial agreements, working
with lawyers, proposal managers, and technical experts.
-Maintaining client relations on commercial issues including negotiating
contractual terms and conditions.
-Preparing and managing business confidentiality agreements and
technology license agreements
-Assisting in the commercial management of major contracts and assisting
project managers with the collection of major receivables.
-Assisting the Managing Director and business unit directors/managers in the
development of their major project risk review processes pre-bid.
-Providing commercial assistance to engineers and project managers in
the sourcing and administration of subcontractors and suppliers.
-Preparation of commercial proposals for large engineering services and
equipment design & supply proposals and assist or coach engineers in the
smaller proposals for components and/ or consulting services.
Managing the preparation of pricing strategy for project and product sales
proposals taking into account the competitive market, applicable legal and
tax regime, and our own risk profiles.
-Assisting Managing Directors in the data collection, analysis and reporting
of business unit performance.
Qualifications:
Degree in engineering and a minimum of 10 years experience in
engineering, project management or commercial management.
MBA preferred.
Business development experience in the provision of engineering services
