Responsibilities Include:
Works in a hydroelectric facility environment
Support ongoing field studies and development of associated reports
Research information applicable to aquatic and terrestrial study activities
Document study results for presentation in permit applications and reports
Work closely with clients and agency personnel
Occasional travel within the continental U.S.
Qualifications:
Basic Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
B.S. in Environmental Science, Aquatic Biology or other closely related
field
Strong technical writing skills/ organizational skills /communication skills
and computer skills
Desired / Preferred Qualifications and Experience :
12 years of related professional experience
M.S. in Environmental Science, Aquatic Biology or other closely related
field
Experience with performing aquatic field studies
Experience with water quality sampling and associated field equipment
Understanding of applicable state and federal regulations associated with
water quality and aquatic species management
Understanding of New York SEQRA and federal NEPA programs
Understanding of state and federal endangered and threatened species
requirements
Experience with modeling aquatic ecosystems
Experience with hydroelectric facilities
