Senior Support Biologist (Fish &Game)
Northern, California
Position will provides support to State/Federal projects/ includes direct
interation with stae and federal staff members in compliance and review
meetings/ Some travel in the northern California Area will be necessary.
/prepare and evaluate information derived from database and literature
searches to evaluate potential impacts to fish and wildlife/field surveys
for special-status plant and animals species/ prepare mitigation and
monitoring reports/ studies in the field may include:walking transects,
collecting specimens, identifying plant and animal species/ review federal
& state activities and documents for biological and water quality impacts/
perform construction monitoring during and outside normal working hours
Qualifications: Experience/Education/Skills
BS or MS in Biology, Environmental Science or Wildlife Management/ 7 years
experience/ Proficient in Word & Excel. Proven communication & writing
skills/ Proven ability to interact with others professionally & complete
tasks independently with minimal supervision/ Working knowledge of CEQA and
NEPA.
Primary duties will include preparing biological opinions
and associated environmental documents for CEQA, NEPA & ESA compliance.
