Sr AQ Environmental Engineer
San Diego, CA
Duties
The successful candidate will manage air quality projects, direct work of
the air quality staff, and build working relationships with existing and new
clients associated with air quality assessments. Duties will include
research of applicable regulations and current state of the art;
writing/reviewing air quality reports and sections of CEQA and NEPA
documents; compilation of data and research in support of project delivery
and public hearings, attendance at meetings both inside and outside the
firm; and preparation of proposals (scopes of work and cost estimates) for
air quality reports.
Ideal candidate will have:
Strong analytical and graphic skills; understanding of criteria air
pollutants, air toxics, greenhouse gases, and emission sources; and a
general understanding of CEQA and NEPA; and California ARB and air
districts' regulations; ability to manage and prioritize time effectively.
Excellent written and communication skills, and ability to work
independently as well as in multi-disciplinary teams. Proficiency with air
quality models, such as URBEMIS, EMFAC, Caline, and ISC/Aermod; and general
office software such as Microsoft Office Suite, CADD, GIS, Adobe Creative
Suite and graphic programs are required.
Qualifications: Minimum Requirements
--Bachelor's Degree (Masters , preferred) in environmental engineering,
environmental management, atmospheric sciences, chemical engineering,
or a related field
-12-17 years of experience in the related field of air quality,
environmental analysis
testing, studies, reporting, etc...
-URBEMIS, EMFAC, Caline, and ISC/Aermod modeling
-Familiar/Experienced with CEQA and NEPA
