Accounting Manager (Finance)

 

Responsible for managing an organizations accounting and or
financial analysis functions in assigned areas. These functions may include
establishing and maintaining compliance with the organization's accounting
principles, practices, procedures and initiatives, preparing and managing
financial reports for both the SBU and Corporate constituencies and
presenting findings and recommendations to SBU management and developing and
directing budgetary analyses, financial analyses, risk management or other
specialized roles. Expertise in a variety of the fields concepts, practices and procedures.
Manages the planning and direction of accounting activities, including
the maintenance of the ledger accounts and financial statements. Oversees
the efficient operation and cost-effectiveness of operating systems and
programs. Provides guidance and leadership to staff accountants.
Participates in departmental projects.

Degree in accounting, finance, business administration or economics preferred
9 years of relevant experience required. Strong GAAP/IFRS knowledge. 
Manufacturing experience required. Strong understanding of an ERP/business system

with implementation experience a plus (SAP preferred)
