Sr Financial Controller (Accountant)

TX, Houston

Act as an authority on GAAP related accounting matters including areas such as revenue recognition

and cost accounting. Coordinate and administer an adequate plan for the control of operations including profit planning and analysis, sales forecasts, expense budgets, cost standards and saving opportunities, and capital investing, together with the necessary controls and procedures to effectuate the plan. Establish quantitative performance measures based upon financial management techniques and provide the operating management with immediate and accurate information on a proactive basis.

Compare performance with operating plans and standards; Provide reports and interpret results of

operations to all levels of management, including the formulation of accounting policies, preparation of financial statements and operating data, the coordination of systems and procedures, and special reports as required. Execute cash disbursements for payment of divisional expenditures in accordance with disbursement and policies. Forecast short- and long-range cash requirements and obligations as a basis for maintaining adequate funds. Develop and maintain cost models to assess and track cost reduction opportunities. Act as primary interface to external auditors with respect to division matters

Degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA strongly preferred. 

CPA in state of Texas is required. 
Minimum 15 years of progressive financial management experience in industrial / manufacturing environment.
Experience with GAAP requirements
Experience with corporate tax
Expertise in all accounting disciplines, including financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, planning, and forecasting is expected.
