Description: Sr Accountant
Texas, Houston
Assist Finance Manager in areas of financial reporting and auditing
requiring candidate to have both technical and interpersonal skills.
Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received
and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and
databases.
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts,
such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
-Reconciles general ledger accounts with various registers
-Assist the Financial manager in the monthly reporting to management
including preparation of the financial statement.
-Performs statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and
significant changes, and writes narrative reports explaining findings.
-Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital,
and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to
summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for
other managers.
-Work with the Finance Manager to perform Audits to the Joint Venture
contracts.
-Conducts studies and submits recommendations for improving the
organization's accounting operation.
-Consolidates appropriate data and provide to the tax department to generate
federal, state, and local reports and tax returns.
-Work with the Corporate Office and the other Divisions in developing
financial reporting tools
-Lead the development of SAP and Hyperion financial management as it
pertains to financial consolidation and reporting.
-Conduct the internal & external audit.
-Ensure adherence to organizational guidelines, policies and procedures.
-Supports company commitment to ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 certification
-Performs other position related duties as specified by management
Qualifications: Education and Experience
.Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
.8+ years prior experience working as Accountant.
Oil & Gas Industry experience preferred.
