Description:
Accounting Manager / Accountant is responsible for all Business required monthly reporting requirements including, but not limited to: sales and margin analysis, structural cost analysis, three month and full year forecasts, working capital analysis, CapEX spending, scorecard maintenance, etc. Accounting Manager / Accountant will participate in setting goals, policies, and resource allocations of the Business. Approve SAP transactions, check requests based on appropriate delegation of authority assigned and coordinate approvals above this amount. Accounting Manager / Accountant will manage the reporting of working capital by product line (inventory and receivables) and comments on variancies to targets. Lead Accounting process improvement activities to improve efficiency of operations.
 
Financial and Operational Accounting. Actively support personnel development in the accounting, finance, and administrative activities.
Identify potential savings projects based on key indicators or other outside sources. Direct the budget preparation process: issuing accounting guidelines, the schedule and synthesis of data from all functions of the division. Prepare the financial statements for the Budget in a timely fashion and consistently with history and future expected trends. Direct the Five Year Plan process, issuing guidelines, the schedule and synthesis of data from all functions of the division.
Prepare the financial statements for Plan in a timely fashion and is consistent with history and future expected trends. Conduct special Analysis including, but not limited to: Capital Project analysis, customer profitability, contract impacts, details structural cost analysis, etc. Provide policy guidance to manufacturing facilities regarding standard costing and procedures as well as allocations. Actively coach across all business functions to help people understand the S&OP process.
 


Qualifications: BA or BS degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA.
12 years experience of operations accounting and/or plant accounting experience in chemical/petrochemical industry. Strong cost accounting knowledge.
The demonstrated ability to communicate ideas and concepts and be able to lead change in an organizational structure. Project leadership experience
Competent in financial disciplines (IRR, NPV, etc) and use of financial related software
