Manage the professional execution of events and marketing activities that
directly support the corporate marketing strategy.
To be successful, the Events Marketing Manager will work closely with the
Marketing Program Managers from the market segments, as well as with the
corporate leaders of each of the major marketing groups.
Plan, manage and execute all operational and logistical functions related to
webinars and face to face events including:
Work with Program Managers and Product/Industry marketing teams, Sales and
other functional leaders to develop and execute events.
Maintain a project plan and vision, being aware of other events going on at
the same time. Work closely with the sales teams and database manager to generate invite
lists. Develop agendas and manage participation of all presenters.
Development of marketing materials to include web-based materials
including electronic invitations online registration, etc.
Collaborate with marketing communications to ensure appropriateness of
presentation content, look and feel.
Arrange and manage webinar trial runs with principal parties.
Act as moderator and technical help during web-based events.
Track and measure program objectives.
Manage the process of entering and tracking leads and prospects in sales
database and successfully disseminating leads to sales or product marketing.
Develop post-event reports and analyses to determine effectiveness of each
event as well as recommendations for similar events.
Manage relationships with existing vendors and source new vendors as
necessary.
Qualifications: Intimate knowledge of web-based event production.
Thorough understanding of event and meeting production.
Ability to maintain calm demeanor and think on your feet during web
broadcasts.
Proven ability to plan, manage and execute multiple projects/events
simultaneously.
Strong working knowledge of marketing and communications fundamentals.
Detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
BA/BS in business or marketing or equivalent
8+ years of event or marketing management in high tech or related industry
Communications/event marketing background a must
