Description: Finance & Cost Accounting Supervisor (Accountant )
Long Beach, CA
Focus on costing and inventory activities for manufacturing and provide
analysis of manufacturing operations for production and finance management.
Responsible for plant accounting related processes.
Generation of plant performance metrics, including labor and overhead
variance analysis etc.
Month-end close support to the Cost manager in the areas of labor entries
and accruals, inventory
reconciliations, material COS, and overhead analysis.
Support building operations on inventory accuracy.
Support Cost Accounting Manager in the preparation of monthly forecasts and
annual budget for the site.
Inventory control in the WIP areas and provide support for physical
inventories.
Strive for continuous improvement of processes and systems and work with
manufacturing operations
to identify cost reduction opportunities.
Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Accounting. CPA
12+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong experience of Excel and Access.
Lean manufacturing experienced.
SAP / Business Warehouse.
