Description: Business Planning Manager
Houston, TX
Develop and lead an infrastructure for Business Planning that supports an evolving business model.
Implement and lead the sales & operations planning process. Provide insight to top management
on best practices and business objectives. Through in-depth understanding and effective communication
of market and business requirements. Business Planning Manager will lead the sales & operations process
and develop comprehensive plans that promote efficient, low cost execution while enhancing customer satisfaction.
Apply knowledge of sales/marketing, operational procedures and supply chain to improve overall organizational
effectiveness and advance integration with internal business units and external customers/suppliers.
Lead identification and implementation of business planning tools and processes that improve the proficiencies
of business planning throughout the company. Lead process re-engineering and continuous improvement initiatives
that strengthen the performance characteristics of the business and maximize resource utilization.
Provide direction and leadership to demand management team through clear understanding of expectations,
prioritization of work, implementation of process improvement initiatives and assigning clear accountability to team members
Assist strategic sales and operations planning and preparation of presentations to
Senior Management and Board of Directors; provide other business updates as necessary
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Business dicipline and MBA required.
12+ years experience in industrial manufacturing.
Ability to work with multiple business functions.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems SAP, Excel;, Demand Solutions and SAS.
Comprehensive understanding of forecasting, demand and supply chain management principles
Six Sigma Black Belt Certification required. Significant Lean experience
Kaizen and 5-S experience.
