Director, Customer Applications, US Division
Columbus, Indiana
Management of the Service & Application Engineering functions to US based
customer engineering groups and service turbo lab. Act as US Southern
Indiana Engineering Facility Director. Work with customers to identify
future product needs and feed that need into the Business planning processes
(and relevant customer processes) Allocate application and service
engineering support to customers' engine
teams, account teams, program teams, etc./ Administer customer warranty
programs including analysis of failed units and administration of warranty
tracking and payment processes / Assist in development of turbocharger
application guidelines and utilize these guidelines on all new applications
/ Provide service support to identify and resolve field issues and work with
teams to understand and resolve these issues working with the Product Line /
Engineering organization to rapid resolution /Act as primary contact for
all turbocharger technical inquiries for the Company Headquarters &
Divisions/ identify future improvement needs, cost reduction, and business
strategies / report findings in oral presentations to clients & Company
Executives/ provide budget processes and manage within those budget
processes/ ensure we incorporate learnings from new product introduction
projects & current product support into the technology
Qualifications:
Experience/Skills/Education
Minimum of 12 years experience in the engine/associated components business
with a background in product development, with customer-facing experience.
Diesel engine/components and particularly turbocharging knowledge helpful
' BS and/or MS( preferred) in an engineering discipline, preferably
mechanical engineering
' Business qualification preferable
' Automotive industry knowledge desirable
' Project Management skills
' Knowledge of manufacturing techniques
' Experience with 6-Sigma methodology would be advantageous
