Sr Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Southern Cross, Western Australia
Basic Description :
The company stays on the cutting edge of thier competition with use of smart
technology innovation and top talent. This is a challenging position for the
right person providing a chance to explore resource opportunities as well as
personal career ambitions. The position is with a coal production company
near
Southern Cross. The company holds interest in operating 4 surface mining
operations and 2 underground operations, and 5 other (non-active) mining
sites around the globe.
General Duties:
The position will provide electrical engineering technical support,
preparing and controlling operating and capital budgets, leading or actively
participating in various improvement initiatives, actively researching,
learning and applying new maintenance engineering practices, Actively
participating in all site and department safety plans.
Qualifications: *Minimum Requirements:
-Qualified candidates must possess a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering
-Must hold a valid driver's license
-Candidates are required to successfully pass all pre-employment testing and
screening
-Experience within mining and equipment maintenance sectors is strongly
preferred, but is not required
*Must have effective strength & Skill in the following:
- interpersonal skills
-communication skills
-demonstrated project management skills
-comfortable & effective working in a team oriented environment
-comfortable with a fast paced rapidly changing environment
*Experienced, familiar & knowledgable with :
-power delivery equipment
-analog and digital drive systems
-PLC programming
-large motors and generators
-radio communications systems operating in the VHF, UHF and microwave bands
*Additional Skills that would be desirable:
SAP computer systems is considered a plus
Six SIGMA coaching credentials a plus
