Legal Director of Project Permitting reports directly to the Assistant
Vice
President of Planning, Permitting, Reclamation, and Geotechnical and
executes the permitting project strategies for the Permitting & Reclamation
team in Central Florida, ensuring alignment with company's long-term
strategy. This person provides strategic leadership in the development of
mines permitting/reclamation projects, including planning, tracking, and
compliance of present and future mining projects.

Principle Accountabilities:
Provides legal advice and direction on environmental planning and permitting
of mining operations, including DRI application(s).  Provides advice and
expertise
on applicable permitting and reclamation project regulations and
legislation.
Interfaces with county planning and permitting officials; supervises the
development of presentations that demonstrate compliance with permits or
operations. As a Company spokesperson prepares and delivers presentations
to the public, as well as to local, county, and state officials
Supervises required annual governmental report activities and promotes legal
compliance in all permitting and related reclamation activities.
Directs the Company related correspondence




Qualifications:

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor degree with a major in Civil/Chemical/Mining or Law is required.
Masters degree, Professional Engineer certification, and law degree are
preferred.
10 years progressive phosphate industry experience or other related mining
industry experience with specific experience in mine permitting and
reclamation projects.
Proven ability to apply extensive knowledge of mines permitting &
reclamation trends and best practices, zoning regulations, site plan review,
master plans, permitting processes, public policy, and other permitting
strategies.
Proven ability to lead permitting and reclamation activities.
Must possess excellent analytical, written and verbal communicating skills.
In-depth knowledge of mining industry permitting and reclamation.
