Managing Superintendent - Mining Projects
Perth, AU
Description :
Position will be responsible to manage a $2 billion integrated development
of iron ore deposit projects expected to produce both high-grade concentrate
and blast furnace quality pellets for export to north-eastern China Steel
Mills.
This is an exceptional opportunity to live in beautiful Western Australia
and be
a part of one of the world's largest capital projects in the iron ore
industry. The
iron ore deposit project(s) have unique qualities in terms scale, quality,
consistency and extremely low waste in terms of an ore stripping ratio at
78%
iron.
In this position you will be responsible for :
-the overall planning and organization of the projects operations.
-direct supervision of all project employees
-deployment of equipment to meet production and safety requirements
-ensure the quality of material being produced; analyze downtime, process
and labor, and provide solutions
-provide leadership in company safety processes
-prioritize and organize maintenance items
Qualifications: Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
-Minimum 10-12 years experience / management in mine or similar operations
-Flexibility to manage area projects in Western Australia are a must and
the ability to travel within other nearby production locations if
necessary
-Ability to specialize in one or more of the following :production mining,
development mining, drilling or blasting
-Ability to plan and organize your workload and work with multiple deadlines
-Strong written and oral communication skills
-Computer literate
-Must be familiar with UNEP,NIOSH,MSHA,CDC or other related regulations.
-Able to live and work in Australia legally.
Candidates should hold a BS/University Degree or Tertiary qualifications in
an
engineering discipline and have experience in the mining industry, rail or
port projects,
or Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) contracts.
Number of years experience is directly related to the education level of
the
successful candidate
