Description: Sr Completions Engineer
Houston
Responsible for planning and designing oil and gas well
completions, workovers and intervention activities, both onshore and
offshore Gulf of Mexico.
Determine well completion or abandonment objectives and requirements and develop
appropriate conceptual designs for review and approval. Prepare
completion and abandonment programs.
Prepares cost estimates, cost studies and cost control activities related to the completions
and workover programs.
Support Completions Superintendent field staff in the execution of completion or
abandonment program.
Undertake field trips as required to assist with or oversee wellsite operations.
Designs and recommends stimulation and sand control treatments.
Qualifications: 10+ years experience in onshore and offshore completion and workover operations.
Experience in offshore Gulf of Mexico operations and knowledge of deepwater procedures
and operations. Expertise in frac packs, gravel packs, acidizing
down-hole equipment, coil tubing and wireline operations.
Familiar with artificial lift design, stimulation technology.
Formation damage mechanisms, prevention and remediation.
Well productivity estimates and nodal analysis techniques.
Remedial cementing techniques, abandonment procedures and sand control.
