Sr Automation Engineer responsible for supporting the day-to-day automation needs of assets. Automation Analysts are focused on small projects and complex troubleshooting of SCADA systems across multiple assets. The position has responsibility for training of Asset/Operations personnel on the use, maintenance, and repair of SCADA systems/equipment. The scope of work includes basic design, execution of small projects, commissioning of new installations, trouble shooting,
training of field personnel, and evaluation and optimization of SCADA systems. Actively participate in the population and prioritization of a small project queue for their area of responsibility. Installation of SCADA system components (PLC, EFM,POC, etc.), including wireless serial and Ethernet communications systems, for small projects and routine repairs/replacement. 

 

Modifications to PLC, HMI, OIT, or Active Factory. Troubleshoot various SCADA system components (hardware, software, & network). . Utilize project management tools to manage the commissioning of new installations, perform cost control, and utilize the Management of Change (MOC) process . Coordinate the deployment of SCADA systems with key groups (Technical Teams, Facilities Engineering, Information Technology group, Catalyst group, Gas Measurement Team and Production Operations group.Manage internal and external resources to optimize field work processes, field process control, and safety systems. Enforce adherence to I&E standards for automation installations. . Train and mentor operations personnel and engineering users of SCADA data. . Support field operations on issues concerning safety, regulatory and industry codes related to electrical systems and SCADA equipment.

Degree in Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering Technology.
