Description: Technical Authority, Artificial Lift Specialist Texas, Houston Petroleum Engineer to provide technical support in the area of artificial lift design and optimization. Provides technical support in production engineering and production enhancement matters. Specific expertise in artificial lift design and operation is desired where main expertise will be around ESPs & PCPs. Participates as technical resource on project peer reviews. Develops, evaluates and deploys new technology, provide consultation and/or recommend procedures. Provides on-site support for production optimization opportunities. Builds technical capabilities by representing company at industry technical meetings, joint industry project meetings, and review of current technical literature. Interacts with units to assist in aligning the technology portfolio with business issues. Teaches in selected schools / seminars / courses concerning production engineering & productin enhancement topics.
Qualifications: Degree. Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering preferred. Expert knowledge in Artificial Lift design and optimization and well centric artificial lift designs in general; Specific knowledge/skills in design, application, and operation of ESPs and PCPs; Field review and system optimization. Working Knowledge of well modeling software applications (e.g., IPM, WEM, Pipephase). Productivity enhancement/optimization; Reservoir Surveillance. Working Knowledge of completion practices, systems and equipment, production logging and water/gas shutoff techniques. Experience in production engineering applications in oil and gas operations including economic evaluation of producing and exploitation assets, optimization of production, and problem well diagnostics. Able to provide mentoring and training in production engineering Knowledge and experience in oilfield development to participate in Peer Quality Fitness Reviews for large reservoir development projects.
