Description: Head of Contracts & Legal Texas, Houston Responsible for contracts and legal activities for global operations. Letters of Intent, contracts and agreements with clients, partners and subcontractors. Variation orders and contract amendments. Frame agreements and major purchase orders. All current/future standard contracts and agreements. Agreements set up for special purposes to govern arrangements within technology, development, supply and general cooperation. a. Ensure compliance with Group and Company policies, business norms, standards and procedures within the area of Contracts & Legal through; reviews and audits, preparation of amendments, qualifications and clarifications to contracts, preparation of required contracts and agreements, preparation and maintenance of standard document templates, and liaison with Group Legal and external advisors when required. b.. Provide advice and assign personnel to tender and project teams to provide support with respect to negotiations, assessments, reviews, document preparation and general contractual work. c.. Education and training of the organisation in contractual and insurance matters. d.. Ensure compliance with Group and Company policies and procedures with respect to insurance matters. e.. Assist in corporate and foreign taxation matters. f.. Prepare, implement and maintain governing documents within the function. g.. Manage and develop personnel within own function.
Qualifications: a.. Formal legal training and or extensive experience in contractual matters, preferably from oil gas / contracting industry. b.. Experience may outweigh need for formal qualifications.
