Principal Corrosion Expert
Livingston, NJ
The position Principal Corrosion Expert will be working with a team of
materials and corrosion specialists on engineering, failure analysis, and
applied research projects for client companies in the petroleum,
petrochemical, transportation, and aerospace industries. Major Areas of
Responsibility : Liaison with clients to assess their corrosion testing
needs and write a proposal to perform corrosion testing Technical oversight
of projects involving lab testing and evaluation including coordinating with
technical staff Review /evaluate project data/ summarize / write a report
based on the results of the program.
Qualifications: Minimum Basic Requirements
-BS degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or Corrosion Science or related
field or Master's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or
Corrosion Science.
-10 or more years of overall experience in 3 or more of the following :
-Performing corrosion testing, electrochemical testing, mechanical
testing, and metallography in the petroleum and process industry.
- Must have at least 6 years of experience involving commercial research
and
engineering involving corrosion prevention, materials selection and
metallurgical processing preferably in the oil and gas industry
- Technical oversight of corrosion testing in the lab, coordinate tests with
technical staff, review and interpret data, project reporting
-Client Liaison experience.
-Ability to work with clients to design a testing, evaluation or consulting
program based on their corrosion needs.
-Project Management methodology experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience involving commercial research and
engineering involving corrosion prevention, materials selection and
metallurgical processing preferably in the oil and gas industry
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management.
