Description: Senior Pipeline Design Engineer
Texas, Houston
Perform and check pipeline calculations and design
using both computer-aided and manual techniques
. Work independently and provide guidance and mentorship to less
experienced engineers and designers.
. Lead Pipeline Engineering simulation group including steady state
and transient hydraulics, pipeline stress, offshore pipeline design and
installation and discrete simulation.
. Manage pipeline software budget.
. Prepare and perform to estimates, schedules, man-hour and manpower
forecasts.
. Assist in audits.
. Provide assistance, as requested, in the areas of schedules,
estimates, progress reports, meetings, etc.
. Assist, as required, in the development of department standards and
procedures.
. Work with other disciplines as required for the performance of
duties.
. Support the Discipline Excellence Leader on assignments, as
required.
. Travel, as required, to ensure the successful execution of project
and/or department goals.
. Actively participate in external technical seminars and self-enroll
in advance management training courses.
. Administer performance appraisal input and counseling.
. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: BS in Engineering or equivalent
- Professional Registration and membership in external technical
society preferred
- 10 years of experience in pipeline engineering
- Competent in Pipeline Engineering software
- Proven engineering team leadership experience
