Description:

General Manager

Responsible for the General Management of the Company engaged in the supply of  project equipment, materials and construction services to the oil & gas plant, processing and petrochemical industry in the Middle East and elsewhere.

Responsible for General Management, Administration, Development and Control of the company and its related ventures, if any.
Responsible for Formulating, Implementing & Controlling the Policies, Procedures and Manuals of the Company.
Responsible for Preparing the Organizational Structure, Planning and Projecting Manpower requirements and preparing job specifications, Job
Descriptions for every position as reflected in the approved Organization Structure.
Responsible for Selecting, Inducting, Orienting, Developing, Motivating and Rewarding of the Total Workforce within the company.
Responsible for Managing the company in the most efficient, effective and profitable manner.
Responsible for maintaining the Continuity and development of the Company Business.
Responsible for identifying Growth Potential areas of Company business such as:

Exploiting a New Product Opportunity
1. Identification of Opportunities
·   Scan markets to understand social, political and economic trends, as well as consumer behavior and consumption patterns to identify market gaps
   and emerging customer needs,
·   Identify competitive (substitute) and complementary products,
·   Acquire market access guidelines and determine market barriers,
·   Identify key distributors, customers and competitors in potential product segments in the market and
·   Identify product opportunities that may address these trends or market gaps

2. Selection of a Target Opportunity
 ·   Select the opportunity that is most appropriate in terms of individual aspirations and goals, current and potential capabilities and resources and
    the market environment,
·  Detail customer needs and specifications and
·   Identify possible business strategies and partners (to expand resources and improve chain co-ordination) in order to capture opportunities.
3. Commercialization
·   Identify strategies to take advantage of the opportunity,
·   Conduct trial product development, processing and in-market testing,
.   Select a strategy to optimize returns,
·   Develop financing proposals,
·   Finalize strategic, operational and marketing plans,
·   Formalize partnerships & Collaborators
·   Implement plans and monitor outcomes and

·   Continuously evaluate and refine the product by monitoring customer response and the market environment.

Responsible for Decision Making, Decision Executing and Forward planning related to accomplishing Company and Corporate Objectives.
Responsible for practicing Corporate Values.
Responsible for safeguarding Reputation, Image and Credibility of the Company and the Group at all times.
Responsible for Directing and Coordinating Organizational Functional Units so that their activities are carried out in an integrated manner.
Responsible for exercising the Financial Authority within the purview set by executive and the Board of Directors.
Responsible for Management of Human Resources of the Company.
Responsible for implementing on a continuous basis an Organizational Structure and staffing Plan that meets the ongoing and future Operational
and Organizational needs of the Company.
Responsible for ensuring an Infrastructure that Motivates, Rewards and Compensates employees in a manner consistent with Individual and Group
achievement.
Responsible for facilitating the Control Process Including Establishing of Standards, Measuring Performance against these Standards and
Correcting the deviations from these Standards and Plans.

  1.. Responsible for the Financial Performance of the Company in terms of overall Profitability and continuous Growth in Top Line and bottom Line and
ensuring positive Cash Flow.
  2.. Responsible for Formulating and Implementing Strategic and Business Plans for the Company.
  3.. Responsible for establishing Accountability and Authority Limits for Subordinate Officers / Managers and monitoring their performance in
      execution of Business Plans, Financial Results and Organizational Objectives.
  4.. Responsible for establishing and monitoring actual performance against the Budgeted Performance and Targets to executive on monthly basis.
  5.. Responsible for representing the Company in important external business relationships with Major Clients, Strategic Principals and
  Partners, Financiers, Government and Public so that the Company's Image is reflected in the most positive manner and where such contacts are critical
to the achievement of majors objectives.
  6.. Responsible for leading the entire Team by providing overall robust Leadership.
  7.. Responsible for briefing the President / Managing Director of the overall performance results of the Company on regular basis.
  8.. Responsible for reporting the Performance of Operations, Sales, Marketing and Business Development and Finance on weekly basis to the
President / Managing Director.
  9.. Responsible for ensuring the company becomes ISO Certified Company.
  10.. Responsible for Devising, Implementing and Maintaining MIS (Management Information System) for the Company.
  11.. Responsible for Implementing ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)
System for the Company.
  12.. Responsible for exercising strict Cost Control throughout the Company.


2. Secondary:
  1.. Responsible for building and maintaining Customer Relationship.
  2.. Responsible for contacting the Centralized functions within the Holding Company to obtain their services.
  3.. Responsible for liaising with the Management of other SBUs within the Group on various relevant issues.
  4.. Responsible for periodic reporting of overall Performance and General Appraisal of the employees to the President / Managing Director.
  5.. Responsible for establishing and maintaining Internal Controls within the Company.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. MBA specialized in General Management or a Graduate in any discipline with relevant experience.
14+ years out of which 5+ years must have been in a similar position with a reputed medium to large scale organization/s.
