Description: Engineering Supervisor, Gas Storage Location: Mid West US. Salary: Negotiable Pkg + Relo Supervise gas storage field engineering for gas storage field assets. Supervise the design of storage field projects and coordinate activities with field supervision. Supervise the development of operating and maintenance plans for the storage fields. Supervise and participate in the design and study initiatives to maintain and/or expand the deliverability and reliability of gas storage assets. Study and recommend optimum stored gas volume in each gas storage field to minimize operating costs while maintaining reliability of delivery. Develop injection and withdrawal procedures using gas well test and operating data to maximize deliverability of stored gas with minimum operating costs. Evaluate the plant facilities. Coordinate with Gas Supply to create annual injection and withdrawal plans and establish the peak day deliverability of each of the storage fields. Provide support for data requests, permittings and filings. Supervise the monitoring of the gas storage field inventories. Analyze reservoir and well performance. Initiate annual adjustment to storage field inventories as required. Monitor reservoir performance to ensure optimum field usage. Supervise the engineering of facility upgrades, revamps, and changes. Compile cost estimates, justifications, specifications, work orders and requisitions for materials and personnel required to drill and complete new wells, perform remedial work on problem wells, and for facility enhancements. Monitor various types of survey logging performed in the storage field wells. Interpret logging results and makes recommendations for corrective actions.
Qualifications: Degree, Petroleum engineering. Other degrees will be considered based upon experience. PE license is desirable. 7+ years storage field engineering and operations experience. Proven supervisory experience. Geological knowledge and experience preferred. Familiar with natural gas dehydration, metering processing, compression, piping, and codes desirable. Familiar with the regulatory process desirable. Technically competent with computer applications. Experience with programmable logic controllers is desirable. Familiar with simulation, data bases, programmable controllers, gas storage facility equipment, and storage operations. Knowledge of geology, petroleum and mechanical engineering, underground gas storage and drilling technology.
