Senior Architect - Planning
Bay Area, CA
Senior Architect - Planning is a key customer
planner supporting the executive company staff and
commercial functions and has the responsibility is to
provide strategic facility planning services for over 4,000
employees, nationwide / has a primary focus on a
multiple number of existing buildings, and growth,
within the San Francisco, Bay Areas.
Reporting to the Director of Facilities Planning, the Senior
Architect - Planning helps to ensure that the company's
Projects and Land assets are in place and optimally
allocated to support the Corporate Business Plan /will
manage relationships with each key customer to proactively
provide excellent facility planning services to meet
changing business needs / development of feasibility studies
/ identifying and justifying future projects for the long range
projects-plans / comparative analysis of alternate
solutions and preparing risk analysis / other key responsibilities include
preparing Concept and Funding approval presentations to Sr
Management working with Project Management through
conceptual Design to assure program and design consistency
with corporate and departmental needs / The Senior Architect - Planning
will characterize the demand for Field offices / monitoring field
utilization activity, lease expirations, and requests for field office
changes
Additionally the planner will measure and track space utilization, prepare
demand/capacity studies, and propose alternative work place solutions and
space allocation solutions that consider three, five and ten year scenarios
Qualifications: Skills/Education/Experience
Will have 12 years of proven experience in office planning and
design / Bachelors degree in Engineering, Architecture, Planning
or equivalent. MBA or other Masters degree is preferred.
This position requires an exceptionally high degree of interpersonal
skills and the ability to clearly communicate with all levels of the
corporation and corporate representation to outside consultants
and government officials. The position requires proven problem
solving and exceptional analytical skills. Must be conscientious and
self-motivated. Minimum 10 years of experience in the
architectural/engineering industry with expertise in feasibility studies and
conceptual design. General knowledge of capital project development methods
and procedures
