Senior Lab Scientist - Project Management
Norristown, PA

The Senior Lab Scientist independently performs complex laboratory
analysis of pharmaceuticals. Sr. Lab Scientists will be proficient in the
use of analytical instrumentation (HPLC, Dissolution apparatus, etc),
calculate data, and record data in adherence with company
SOPs and cGMPs independently.
Will routinely act as the project leader on multiple projects, will interact
with clients, review and evaluate data, write reports and protocols. Also,
responsible for the regulatory and scientific conduct of the project at the
company




Qualifications: PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Timely communication of analytical results and project status to client and
management
Maintain compliant laboratory documentation
Independently evaluate and interpret industry guidelines, protocols, and
other technical/ regulatory documents
Train and coordinate laboratory activities of assistant/associate scientists
and assist in troubleshooting instrument and analytical problems
Perform and direct laboratory investigations
Prepare SOPs, protocols, reports, and project summaries

Minimum Requirements
Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field with 3 years of pharmaceutical
laboratory experience
Or MS in Chemistry or related field with 4 years of pharmaceutical
laboratory experience
Or BS/BA in Chemistry or related field with 5 years pharmaceutical
laboratory experience
Or Non degreed with at least 17 years of regulated laboratory experience,
with at least 9 in a pharmaceutical laboratory
Or equivalent years experience in lieu of education





KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Effective communication skills
Clear understanding of separation science and general chemistry
Proficient in use of a wide variety of analytical instrumentation
Familiar with cGMP, ICH guideline and Compendial testing procedures
Proficient in operation, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of
analytical instruments (HPLC, GC, pH meter) and data acquisition systems
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities for successful project
completion
Perform analytical testing to measure pharmaceutical compounds in a variety
of formulations
Design and execute experiments independently





WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must pay constant attention to detail-visual, mental
Constant exposure to, electrical equipment, and hazardous waste
Able to multi-task daily
Daily exposure to extreme cold
Long, varied hours required occasionally
Interaction with clients/associates required on daily basis
Rotating shifts required on rare occasions
Exposure to fluctuating changes in temperature on rare occasions
