Sr Global Supply Chain Expert
(senior management)
West Portland, OR
Sr Procurement Expert has responsibilities for Oregon Fill -Package
Operations for raw materials / requires 40% travel to the corporate
headquarters mear Bay Area, CA & supplier sites /developing, implementing
and managing Source Plans for assigned spend subcategories/leading
cross-functional teams / develop value-enabling Sourcing Strategies/
Defining, understanding and analyzing business needs for materials, services
and supply market information/ generating and analyzing innovative sourcing
options/ Relationship Management Strategies to maximize value and managing
supply risk / while ensuring that internal stakeholders' requirements are
met / Ensuring supplier alignment, capacity and support for existing and
future
requirements for the Company / collaborating with the Supplier Quality,
Clinical Trials, Site Operations, and PROP Procurement to ensure alignment
around the agreed upon Sourcing Strategies/ Utilizing Procurement Strategy
Council , ISM and related industry associations to identify, benchmark, and
implement best practices/
Maximizing the value delivered to the company through 3rd party expenditure
and the management of internal costs/ manage a portfolio of spend cost
categories, working cross functionally with internal stakeholders, and
external suppliers/ developing, maintaining and implementing sourcing
strategies, and managing 3rd party relationships/ Maximizing opportunities
to leverage spend, improve quality, optimize cost and reduce risk/
Managing a portfolio of categories of raw materials, IE: vials, seals,
stoppers, labeling, cartons and corrugate/
Conducting complex analyzing and evaluating responses and making
recommendations for supplier selection/Developing and implementing advanced
supplier assessment techniques/Negotiating and managing supply agreements
and service level agreements/ Develop supplier profiles and sourcing
strategies for assigned spend categories in collaboration with Global Supply
Chain, External Quality, Commercial Quality Operations, Process Development
and Finance/ supporting risk mitigation activities and other critical direct
material objectives / Establish and build successful supplier relationships/
Demonstrated skill in planning and leading negotiations, and have experience
in structuring and managing supplier contracts
Qualifications:
Experience/Skills/Education
* BS or BA degree required, MS a plus
* CPM, APICS certification a plus
* 14 years of relevant experience(minimum)
* Experience sourcing packaging and filling materials in a Fill Finish
/Packaging Environment.
* Working knowledge of SAP
* Project management / program management, key, at least 8 yrs
* Demonstrated success in internal clients' market places
* Risk, total cost, and financial modeling skills
* Proficiency and experience with advanced procurement methodologies and
strategic procurement thinking
* Risk and financial analysis skills and the ability to interpret and
utilize key data
* Demonstrated skill in planning and leading negotiations, and experience in
structuring and managing supplier contracts
* Demonstrated ability in leading complex projects to successful and on-time
completion and relationship building skils both internallly and externally
