Sr. Bio-Medical Mechanical Design Engineer
Penns Neck, NJ
Sr. Bio-Medical Mechanical Engineer is responsible to develop,
design, document, and validate the mechanical systems associated
with generation-x lab analysis systems.
Position will be responsible for the aesthetic design, reliability,
manufacturing processes, and cost of devices and peripherals.
Position is responsible for CAD design, analysis of strength and
tolerances, producing drawings and specifications, design
verification, release documentation and aspects of product
validation. The work will be performed within the Design Control
framework required by the FDA.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
- 10 or more years relative indutry experience
- Strong working knowledge of 3D CAD design including contoured,
thin-walled geometry.
- Experience designing parts for injection molding, machining, stamping,
wire forming and other processes.
- Experience integrating electronic subsystems into handheld products
ie:LCD displays, bar-code scan, batt-power sys, etc...
- Experience specifying/testing electronic interconnects , ie: flat-flexible
cables/connectors/pogo-pins/switches, keypads, etc....
- Excellent laboratory skills ie: prototypes/measuring mechanical
properties/developing jigs/fixtures/ verifying performance..etc
- Experience using mechanical CAE tools
- Familiarity with safety testing/regulatory compliance for IV devices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
