Energy Consultant based will
generate and develop ideas for profit improvement in a refinery or
petrochemical plant´s energy usage using computer models, spreadsheet
calculations, client test runs, process and technical knowledge, and
references. You will document these ideas and facilitate their
implementation to deliver bottom line results through written reports and
presentations to clients in formal and informal meetings. You must be able
to work as part of a team integrating your process and energy usage
knowledge and model results to achieve overall plant optimisation ideas.
Consultants will also be expected to assist in sales visits and proposal
preparation.
  

 

BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and a minimum
of 3 years relevant experience in petroleum refinery or petrochemical plant.
Responsibility for the plant´s Energy and/or Utility Systems within an
Operations environment is desired.
      This position requires up to 25% domestic and international travel per
annum for periods of 2-3 weeks; a frequent travel bonus will be paid.
Refinery process modelling skills are required, and HYSYS or Petro-SIMT
experience is a plus. Good computer (spreadsheets) and communication
(written and verbal) skills are required, and an understanding of refinery
and/or petrochemical plant economics is essential. Advanced degrees,
professional engineering certificate, and fluency in additional languages
are a plus.
