Description: Construction Engineering Manager Texas, Port Arthur Manages the project Construction Engineering Department, which provides construction engineering and technical support to the project. Establishes and executes the Construction Engineering program, which includes the exchange of engineering information among the client, design engineer, and company project Responsible for Field Engineering, Document Control, System Turnover, welding, all Automation tools to be implemented, pre-commissioning, and rigging at a project location. Strong commitment to HSE (health, safety, environment). Requisitions certain project materials, equipment, and services on some projects. Interprets the intent and requirements of the design documents and information. Performs technical administration of contracts. Maintains working knowledge of applicable codes and standards for a project.
Qualifications: Engineering / Construction Management degree or equivalent project experience. 15+ years experience preferably union with experience in managing multiple subcontractors and direct hire skills are required. Strong refining background in existing units and grass roots. Strong conceptual planning background
