Description: Director, Operations Excellence Texas, San Antonio Directs development of Operations work processes and technical training to create a production-focused refining organization. Key job responsibilities include: 1) Collaborates with refinery leadership to define Operator performance expectations including routine duties and communication, and develops work process to ensure consistency and sustainability. Researches best practices for refinery operations. Analyzes gap between desired and current states to identify and prioritize areas of focus with respect to work design, technical training, etc; 2) Develops and implements sustainable work process to incorporate risk-based inspection, critical variable control, and reliability-centered maintenance tasks into Operator rounds. Implements technology to facilitate enhanced Operator rounds. Redefines Operator responsibilities and operating procedures as necessary. Collaborates with refinery leadership team to develop change management plan to create sense of urgency around reliability improvement; 3) Develops standard methodology and sustainable work process to define and document critical process variables and operating windows. Collaborates with refining subject matter experts and refinery leadership to implement the work process and effect change; 4) Collaborates with refineries and refining headquarter personnel to develop and support cross-function production teams.
Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in engineering discipline preferred. Minimum of 15+ years experience in refinery operations management. Other requirements include: 1) Working knowledge of regulatory requirements for training; 2) Demonstrated ability as a change agent with influence at all levels of the organization; 3) Effective team builder and leader.
