Description: Biomass Energy Consultant Kansas Biomass energy projects consultant. Develop, plan, coordinate and manage all aspects of biomass energy projects. The position will involve a wide variety of diverse assignments including: resource assessment, due diligence, siting, feasibility studies, new technology evaluation, project proposal evaluation, market assessments, strategic planning, policy evaluation, and pro forma economic analysis. The position will entail interaction with clients including: utilities, energy project developers, financial institutions, energy end-users, investors, government agencies, and other organizations. Manage projects, including scope definition, project staffing, technical oversight, and responsibility for successful project execution on time and within budget. Lead and contribute to authorship of reports, studies, and proposals. Manage work of others in multidisciplinary teams. Lead and assist with business development activities in area of expertise. Assist with development of new project opportunities and business lines.
Qualifications: Engineering, science, business, or related degree from an ABET accredited university, Masters degree or MBA would be beneficial. Some course work on energy systems, specifically some knowledge of renewable energy technologies preferred. Minimum 8 years experience with biomass energy projects is a necessity. Must have the ability to see projects from concept through completion. Areas of emphasis may include: biorefinieries, combustion, co-firing, gasification, syngas cleanup, fermentation, biodiesel, and Fischer-Tropsch synthesis Experience in biomass energy projects specifically and interest in all renewable energy technologies.
